Google Analytics Tastes Like Vaporware

So, Google relased their Google Analytics service, and didn't it seem nice? The screenshot looked engaging. But it still says waiting for data that will show up in 12 hours, days after installing.

Apparently I'm not the only one having trouble.

I knew I was being over dramatic above. And now the sign up page says:

Google Analytics has experienced extremely strong demand, and as a result, we have temporarily limited the number of new signups as we increase capacity.

But data is showing up in my account now. Whee, now to figure out if it's useful.

No .. no good

Google Analytics is supposedly recovered, but certainly not yet. It says I had 2 hits yesterday. According to my server logs, I had ten thousand. Slight discrepancy.

You may use Markdown syntax in the comment, but no HTML. Hints:

  • An empty line between text will create a paragraph boundary.
  • Use angle braces around a plain URL to auto-link it: <http://www.example.com/>.
  • Use this format to create a link with different text showing: [An Example](http://www.example.com/).
  • Use backticks (``), not leading spaces to enclose a code block.
